When we begin to consider just how vast the problem of Global Warming is and how deeply it will effect us, it quickly becomes overwhelming and seemingly an impossible task to overcome. From the burning of the Rain Forests and wasteful energy policies, to water supply shortages and the melting of the poles, we find trillion dollar institutions set up which block any sort of progress to begin to solve this problem. While remaining optimistic about this challenge in the face of so many obstacles continues to get harder every day, there are glimmers of hope through science and technology that we have placed our faith in to deliver us from certain disaster.

Any carbon-based waste, from turkey guts to used tires, can, by adding sufficient heat and pressure, be turned into oil through a process called thermo-depolymerization, This is very similar to how nature produces oil, but with this technology, the process is expedited by millions of years to achieve the same byproduct. Proponents of this technology claim that a ton of turkey waste can cough up about 600 pounds of petroleum.
